A New Year

Well. This whole season was a bust. I sort of got discouraged when NEITHER of my tomato plants produced any fruit. I think I got 2 tomatoes and the rats ate them. I got cucumbers and onions, herbs and strawberries but most of the other things just didn't produce much.

The weather was very strange. I think there was only a few days that it got very hot. And one of them was Sept 27th. It was a all time record. It was also the day that our chinchilla, Luna, died. She just got too hot. I didn't realize it was so hot because I was asleep after working all night and heat does not bother me at all. It made me sad. I'm so, so, sorry Luny :(

So anyway. I didn't even plant a cover crop this time. When spring rolls around I will fertilize and do a double dig. I have all my sterile plants composting in my new composter (I'll post that perhaps) and will turn that in as well.
