Wall Extension

In an effort to provide more privacy to my yard I started growing jasmine along the wall with my neighbor. When we built the wall we both agreed that after the inspector had approved the height that we would add two more layers to get a full six feet on his side. The city measures six feet from the bottom of the first block on the foundation. When the day came to add the blocks my neighbor chickened out and didn't want to risk getting caught. So the wall is about 4.5 feet on my side. The stupid thing was that the city only started inspecting backyard walls two weeks before we built ours. Anyway, bottom line is I have extra blocks I still don't know what to do with and I can look into his yard.

I had been slowly adding the lattice work. I did the back area first and moved toward the front. The plants have been growing for almost a year now. The back plant is over a year and was a transplant from the front planter. Just recently I added the connections between the vertical lattice. I will add the front horizontal parts before spring. I'm adding it slowly because when I mentioned it to his wife as a solution she turned her nose up at it. Well. Tough. I can do what I want on my side.
